Overview:

You are required to submit a 3000-word individual report demonstrating your comprehension of key leadership issues. Your report should articulate what defines effective leadership, showcase your ability to apply leadership and management theories in practical scenarios and reflect on your personal leadership experiences and development.

Individual Written Report on Leadership

You are required to submit a 3000-word individual report addressing the following four specific questions:

➢ What is involved in being a successful leader?
➢ Can good leadership be developed, and if so, how?
➢ What distinguishes leadership from management?
➢ What have you learnt about leadership from your own experiences in this module and/or elsewhere?

Your report should demonstrate your understanding of key leadership issues, explain what constitutes effective leadership, and show your ability to apply leadership and management theories in a practical context. Additionally, your report must reflect critically on your personal leadership experiences and development, as well as the leadership of others, using relevant theories.

Component 2

Overview:

Prepare a group presentation, with each presenter speaking for 5 minutes, on how to be a leader during turbulent times. Focus specifically on one of the topics discussed during the second part of the module.

Additional information/guidance:

The team presentation should effectively articulate a clear, engaging, and thoughtful exploration of the topic: “How to be a leader in turbulent times.”

The interpretation of “how to be a leader in turbulent times” is left to your discretion The interpretation and approach to this topic should align with the themes covered in the second part of the module, such as (Transformational Leadership, Authentic Leadership, Servant Leadership, Followership, Gender and Leadership, Leadership Ethics, and Team Leadership).

The presentation must demonstrate relevance and interest by integrating real-world examples of leadership. This could include illustrating how leaders have navigated turbulent times using the principles of Transformational, Authentic, or Servant Leadership, among others. It should be grounded in the recommended resources available under the Resource List on Moodle, ensuring a well-informed and academically rigorous exploration of leadership dynamics in challenging environments.
